You will be missed.
May he rest in peace! I'm going to REALLY miss him, we helped each other out so many times. :(
Bug Fixes for RL
Jesse,
Now that you've moved up to management, you should know that RL is not f-unit compliant. I fully expect you to start immediately re-writing all of the code to the universe to correct these problems -- if you want to earn the bounty.
And though I know you might enjoy it, I strongly suggest avoiding the urge to mapstalk Beelzebub -- keep your landbot out of his territory. But, you can drop a lolcube there if you can tp out quick enough, or get LongDistanceRezBot to work. ;)
Your contributions in RL and SL made the world a better place, for people that you didn't even know. I already miss the banter over the great sploits that could be created for SL, talking about ways to poke Prok, the interesting challenge of negotiating business with you, and I sincerely and deeply regret that we will not have the opportunity to 'go into business for EVIL' -- this time around.
So long for now, bud, and thanks for all the lulz.
Sincerely, FWord Utorid
A truly tragic loss
Unlike others have done, I will not address this comment to our lost friend Jesse but to those who knew him - either as a casual aquintance online or offline, as a close friend or as family. My beliefs are that death is final destruction and I do not wish to address those who no longer exist. I only knew Jesse for what was a brief time-period due to him being a regular on IRC and a contributor to OpenSim and libsl, but from what I saw he was full of life and never without a sense of humour. When I made a mess while coding he was one of the ones that pushed me to clean it up. His contributions to our efforts will not be forgotten, nor will he be forgotten as a person by those who knew him. If he left such an impression on me having known him only a few months at most then I cannot imagine how wonderful an impression he must have left on others.
At his in-world memorial I told everyone if we get overtaken by grief and/or depression and fail to enjoy life, his death and the deaths of anyone else who was loved were in vain. So don't let it be in vain. Hackers - keep on hacking SL users - keep on using SL or something Friends - keep being friendly Simple 3D cubic primitives by the name of "lolcubes" I have yet to encounter (someone needs to show me one of those things by the way) keep cubing in primitive yet amusing ways Staypuft Marshallow men keep walking across Profoky Nevka's land (or planning to, you'll get there someday) etc etc

The preceding unsigned comment was actually written by me, Gareth. So now you know.
